In early 2024 we were approached by Josh Bell, lead for the Donate for Defib Project WSM asking for help!
The project has an ambition to install as many defibrillators or AED (Automated External Defibrillator) in Weston super Mare as possible. Believing in the project and the brilliant work it has already and will continue to achieve, we agreed to become the project's Electrical Partner.
Through our Electrical Partnership we support the project by donating our time, expertise and materials to install the defibrillator cabinets ready for use.
To have a defibrillator publicly accessible, they have to be rescue ready and sit within a defibrillator cabinet. The defibrillator itself is battery operated, it is the cabinet that needs power! This is because the cabinet is thermostatically controlled. Our team therefore wire and install the cabinets ready for the defibrillators to be made available.
We are proud to be able to give back to our community. We cannot think of a more worthy way! Plus we get to meet some great people all trying to make a difference. Not only do we install the Cabinets, but we also help, when we can, to raise awareness of the cause… We’ve even been to Parliament!
Find out more about our Defibrillator Electrical Installations, below and on our socials!
What an experience! Weston super Mare electrical contractors taking a trip to Parliament to talk about the importance of defibrillators and having people trained in how to use them! Not only did we get a chance to be heard, we had a tour and even got to sit in the gallery and watch a debate!

Having installed many defibrillator cabinets and learning so much about their importance our team expressed an interest in knowing how to use a defib and help to save lives should they ever find themselves in that position. The Donate for Defib team were more than happy to oblige, Malcolm, Christine and Pete came along and gave us all training!
